Goal Weight - Take2

So, it's the start of the year and by the sounds of it EVERONES new years resolution is to get in shape, right?  Well that's great because we all need something to get us started - the hard thing is actually sticking to it. So lets all try and stick to the path that we start for ourselves. Just remember that you are the only person that calls the shots, so no excuses. If you are determined and stick to your goal then there is no reason why should not achieve it. And imagine how happy you will be to getting to your goal weight or just being in better shape than before.

I went back to Zumba last night and felt great afterwards. I was really fresh after class and delighted to be back. My Zumba teacher Liana has decided also to start up a circuit training class on a Wednesday night which I am definitely going to start going to, I need every bit of help I can get in the toning department! I have decided that I want to be my goal weight by summer. I know that seems to be everyones goal too so I just have to stay determined and not give up.It's much easier said than done I know!

I have decided to cut down on dairy products as I feel I eat WAY too much cheese and butter.  I have also switched to drinking soya milk only - I have tried the unsweetened Alpro Soya which tastes great. I had some in my cereal this morning and didn't notice the difference.

I have also decided to cut down on potatoes, bread and pasta. I always get way too bloated after eating any foods that are high in carbohydrates and also I tend to get terrible cramps which are really painful so I don't think these types of foods agree with me anyway. As an alternative I eat Ryvita crackers instead - they are soo delicious with tomatoes as a snack.

For my breakfast instead of toast I prefer to eat crackerbreads. They go down really well with a boiled egg. I also prefer to eat these with  soup.

I have also started drinking berry tea. It's nice and refreshing in the morning instead of a normal cup of tea. I had these ones in my cupboard from before I gave birth as I was told that berry tea brings on labour :-).

So with my healthy eating back in place and my motivation back on track I had a great start to this week.Today, I even went to the gym with my sister and friend. We stayed for about an hour, in which time I didn't push myself too hard. I am trying to get a lot of amino acids into me so I am  eating more fish than I did before. So, I had a tuna salad for lunch and I  more fish for dinner -  I had a delicous serving of fresh plaice and LOADS of veggies. Eating healthy isn't all bad!

After dinner I had a cup of tea with my soya milk and a Weight Watchers caramel bar which was only 2Pro Points and extremely tasty :-D. I bought the Weight watchers bars in Dunnes - at the moment all
of the Weight Watchers products are reduced to really good prices...

So if I keep up the determination I have now for the next few months, then hopefully I will reach my goal weight or a weight I am happy with. If anybody has any tips or anything they are doing that helps them it would be great to know.
Till weigh day..
Regards,
Naoimh
