My last Laser appointment for my stretch marks was supposed to be last Thursday but I decided not to go. Like I said in a post earlier last month I don't feel that the treatment was working for me.
At the beginning I felt like there had been an improvement on the texture of my skin and the darkness of the marks have faded from what they were originally.
After getting 5 sessions over the last 10 months I am not completely satisfied with the results and so decided it was the next decision to not waste another €200 on treatment. I think my skin has gone as far as it will go with responding to this treatment. I will keep using Bio oil and moisturising my skin and see what way it will be in the future. I have been told that the marks fade after a while and that is good enough for me - for the moment.
If I come across anything in future that I decide to try out I will post all the details, but for now in my opinion I will give this treatment a thumbs down.

Tuesday was my 5th session of laser treatment on my stretch marks and I have to admit the most painfully by far. The results are really starting to show. Looking back at photos I have taken prior to the treatment there is a huge improvement. The marks on my back are almost non existent at this stage that the only way to notice them would be looking up really close. The area around my stomach which would have been worse to begin with is great. In a certain light I almost forget that they are there but still in some bright light I can see them straight away. The texture of my skin is the best improvement as the area is much smoother in comparison to the way it was prior to treatment.
I have 1 more session left in July and I am hoping that this treatment will start to work its magic a little faster than previous times and after all sessions are finished that I will be happy with the final results and glad I got the treatment done. I have been keeping a collection of photos taken so hopefully when treatments are finished the results should speak for themselves.

I haven't had much feed back from anyone receiving this treatment only hearsay. I have had a few enquiries from other woman that have recently had a baby so I would love to have some proof for them as they want to try the treatment but as it is expensive I understand that no body wants to go pay for something that they are not entirely sure will work.
I came across a blog that has some info in regards to this treatment but I would like to hear from somebody that had completed the treatment and get their views on their results.
The Blog is www.smartgirlconsulting.com
If any of you have had the treatment or know a friend that had it, then it would be great to hear from you.

So yesterday was my 3rd session of laser treatment to get rid of my stretch marks. I have been getting this treatment done since October at Cork Laser Care Clinic. I feel as though the treatment is not working as best as I had imagined. There is a lot more smoothness to the areas with stretch marks but the over all appearance has only slightly improved. I was told by the lovely girl that does the treatment that she has noticed a huge improvement so it could just be myself being judgemental towards my own body as I want results yesterday!
The treatment was adjusted to a higher frequency - I suppose you could call it - which means that the sensation had been a bit more intense yesterday but it is never painful and still lasts a very short time.As the normal recommendation of sessions can go as far as 6 and I have only received 3 I will wait patiently for the next few weeks leading up to my next appointment to see if there are any changes to the areas treated today.
If any of you out there are receiving or have received this treatment it would be great to get your feed back.
P.S my next appointment is 12th March so I will keep you posted.

Today was my second session of Laser Treatment for getting rid of my stretch marks. I can say that after only 2 sessions my skin does feel much firmer and that the deepness of the stretch marks has improved. The visual side of it is unfortunately still the same but it is early days so I will accept this and hopefully there will be good development in the next few months and they will start to fade more. I did not have deep marks on my back but what I did have are almost non existent already which I am pleased about.
I was advised that the sensation would get a bit hotter and that I would feel a bit more 'pain' as the sessions progressed, but I did not feel a difference this time around. I am just waiting patiently on the prospect of these marks being erased from my body and in the mean time trying to tone my tummy so that it will look as good as ever with it's big reveal on the beach next summer... hopefully!!
I will keep you posted on any updates in regards to other treatments I hear of or if I am trying anything else myself. My next session is not until 24th January so until then I will use my trusted baby oil.

Today I have started my first of many treatments to rid me of my dreaded stretch marks! Like many woman, who unfortunately get stretch marks whilst pregnant I cannot accept that these are permanent and part of my body now.I had been researching ways of getting rid of them for the last couple of weeks and decided to get laser treatment.
So this morning was my first treatment at Cork Laser Care which lasted all of 10 Min's.The areas I had done were my tummy and back and the sensation was nowhere near painful as anticipated. It felt like a little pinch and was over with before I knew it.I have been told that the pain level should get a bit higher and may feel hotter against my skin but by this time my skin will have adjusted to the treatment, so no biggy :). My next treatment is in 7 weeks as the skin needs time before the next session. It is a bit costly at €200 a session but I feel you can't put a price on happiness and for these to be gone would make me extremely happy :D.I will be keep you posted in the next few months if the treatments are working.
