Stretch Marks

So yesterday was my 3rd session of laser treatment to get rid of my stretch marks. I have been getting this treatment done since October at Cork Laser Care Clinic. I feel as though the treatment is not working as best as I had imagined. There is a lot more smoothness to the areas with stretch marks but the over all appearance has only slightly improved. I was told by the lovely girl that does the treatment that she has noticed a huge improvement so it could just be myself being judgemental towards my own body as I want results yesterday!

The treatment was adjusted to a higher frequency - I suppose you could call it - which means that the sensation had been a bit more intense yesterday but it is never painful and still lasts a very short time.As the normal recommendation of sessions can go as far as 6 and I have only received 3 I will wait patiently for the next few weeks leading up to my next appointment to see if there are any changes to the areas treated today.

If any of you out there are receiving or have received this treatment it would be great to get your feed back.
P.S my next appointment is 12th March so I will keep you posted.

Weigh Day!!




I went for my weigh in this morning and I am happy to say that I have lost 1 lb this week which is a great result. I attended my 2 Zumba classes in which my friend also joined and really liked it. It's great when you have somebody to enjoy having fun working out with. It doesn't seem like such a task then - more like 2 mothers getting a break and exercising at the same time.

 On the days I didn't have class I still did my Zumba on the PlayStation which I feel is really helping me. Especially on the nights that are too cold or it's raining and I can't get out for a walk. This leaves me with no excuse not to work out!

Weigh Day!!

Another weigh day over and done with and I couldn't be more ecstatic. I have lost 6 lbs this week - unfreakin believable!!

I haven't been to class since the start of December so I went in this morning with the intention of being told that I would  be up weight. I was in total shock, but saying that I have really worked hard this week. I attended my 2 Zumba classes and even after Wednesdays class I went straight into doing a 1 hour circuit training class - and my god was that hard. I was ready to collapse by the end of it all. But it was all worth it in the end I suppose. I also did a 23 minute session of Zumba on the PlayStation move last night, this was a brilliant workout there was even beads of sweat dripping down my face afterwards so I know for definite I got a good workout done. I have also started making sure that I do the plank everyday for a minute. My Zumba teacher said that if I just do a minute everyday then my stomach will be toned in no time.

So I couldn't be happier today with that result. I have decided to give up alcohol for a few weeks to focus on getting in better shape.I find that when I have a hangover I am more likely to eat junk food and not do any exercise.I am going to try and keep myself motivated as best I can. I am sticking to my healthy eating habits and will keep up the exercise over the coming weeks.This was a great start to getting back in to Weight watchers but I know I have to keep it up!

I hope all of you out there have had a good week too and if not just keep yourself motivated and try to even lose 1lb next week, you will feel soo much better, promise.

Goal Weight - Take2


So, it's the start of the year and by the sounds of it EVERONES new years resolution is to get in shape, right?  Well that's great because we all need something to get us started - the hard thing is actually sticking to it. So lets all try and stick to the path that we start for ourselves. Just remember that you are the only person that calls the shots, so no excuses. If you are determined and stick to your goal then there is no reason why should not achieve it. And imagine how happy you will be to getting to your goal weight or just being in better shape than before.


I went back to Zumba last night and felt great afterwards. I was really fresh after class and delighted to be back. My Zumba teacher Liana has decided also to start up a circuit training class on a Wednesday night which I am definitely going to start going to, I need every bit of help I can get in the toning department! I have decided that I want to be my goal weight by summer. I know that seems to be everyones goal too so I just have to stay determined and not give up.It's much easier said than done I know!

Weigh Day!!




                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                  I was due back to weight watchers Friday morning morning but unfortunately didn't go as I was so exhausted. I had been in the doctors with my daughter in the middle of the night previous as she was sick.I thought I would get to weigh myself but I haven't had the chance- I purposely do not have a weighing scales as I like being weighed in class only and by the same scales. At suppose if I just hold off till next Friday I might be able to undo some of the damage caused by over eating and drinking at Xmas and new years AND thanks to last night - an alcohol splurge and a donor kebab to finish off the night!!
