The diet that will melt belly fat!!

 I read an article in the magazine WOMAN about weight loss a couple of weeks back but being so busy lately I am only getting the chance to post it today. There was some useful information in the piece that I want to share with you. I have said it before, I don't believe in quick fixes when it comes to weight loss, I believe you have to put in the hard work and determination before you start seeing results - and patience is a must!

                 So I said I would take a gander at how this was possible...

  Most of the information was really the basics that we all know like eating fish. It said to eat OILY fish twice a week as it's your best omega 3 source which each portion containing about 3g. This would be salmon, tuna, mackerel, sardines and pilchards (tinned is fine, except for tuna - canning destroys the omegas).

 For anybody that does not like fish, by taking a supplement provides the omega 3 benefits without the disadvantages - taking approximately 2,000mg (2g) every day, with meals (up to 3,000mg or 3g a day is considered 'safe for most adults' without other health concerns.

The next step was combining a balanced low-calorie diet with exercise - more basics that we all know!

To break it down it basically says that in order to get the maximum belly fat weight loss, you need to burn more calories than your consuming - so aim for about 1200 - 1500 calories a day. It is vital that you get all the nutrients that your body needs such as protein, from healthy, lean sources, such as fish , meat , eggs, nuts, seeds, beans and lentils, making sure that fats are the unsaturated kind found in vegetable oils (especially olive) and, of course your essential omega 3's - that's when the fish comes back into the equation.. Also don't forget to fill up fruit and vegetables, I always do it's like a second nature to me at this stage with           Weight Watchers as all fruit has 0pro points and most veg have 0pro points too. Who says we can't have our cake and eat it too?!

Another tip was sprinkling seeds. I mentioned these seeds before in a post - they would be the Flaxseeds and the Linwoods company have a great selection of flavours sweet and savoury.

Also eggs are another help as they have been shown to keep dieters full between meals. You can buy omega 3 enriched eggs from hens fed on omega 3-rich flaxseed. Each egg contains about one-third of the omega 3s in a portion of oily fish. So whenever you eat an egg, make sure it has an omega boost.

So that's all the details the only thing left to do is try it out an hopefully it works. I have a busy week ahead of me and as I have my Xmas party this Saturday I will be eating out and consuming more than a few glasses of vino so I can guarrantee this week will not be the week I do it. But next week I will definitly try it out and see if there is any major weight loss, like if I actually do lose this 3lb..
