As it's almost New Years Eve which is one of the most busiest nights of the year to celebrate and party I thought it was only fitting to post about it. Whether you are heading out to party the night away, throwing a party of your own or celebrating in your own way I have put together some useful tips to help you stay on track.
FOOD
If you are going to a party the main thing you need to remember is not to go out on a an empty stomach, you should eat a filling breakfast, lunch and eat something at least an hour before you go out. This will help you not too pick too much at all the finger food you'll be surrounded with. If the temptation gets to much then there is nothing wrong with giving in and and enjoying a treat. The best options would be to bulk up on the good food choices such as grilled chicken skewers, veg or salad sandwiches and then treat yourself to a couple of cocktail sausages or mini quiches...
ALCOHOL
Some alcohol choices can be worse than others so it is vital that you choose low calorie alcohol drinks when socialising as all your hard work can be ruined by some alcoholic beverages that are full of hidden sugars. So to help you out I have compiled a list of popular alcoholic drinks and there Pro Points values, this should make it a lot easier for the readers who are joined Weight Watchers while also get a better understanding for those who are not. It is so simple to understand, the lower the Pro Points values the less calories in each drink... so if you opt to drink the lower Pro Points values then you will be consuming less calories.. it's as easy as that!!

The best form of exercise on a night out is to DANCE.. and who knows you might actually enjoy yourself so much that you might be too busy to pick at food!!
So lets bring in the new year with a positive attitude to losing weight and being healthy and also enjoying life at the same time.
Take care this New Years Eve, Always remember to drink responsibly and know your limit!! Never drink and drive.
